Hours of Operation
The Roo Ranch is open seven days a week starting May 1st through September 39th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, weather permitting.
Tours of The Roo Ranch will begin every hour with an approximate tour time of 75 minutes. Bottle feeding time is at 2:00 pm.
During our off season, we do offer private tours to anyone who was not able to make it to The Roo Ranch during our summer season. The pricing information is listed below. If you are interested in a private off-season tour, we ask that you contact us in advance by calling 605.578.1777.
2008 Admission Rates
All coupons and discounts need to be presented before admission. For group rates, the group must include at least (10) people.
We welcome tour busses all year round. If you are interested in making The Roo Ranch a stop on your tour, please contact us in advance by calling 605.578.1777.
Driving Directions & Map
The Roo Ranch is located on South Dakota's Highway 14A in Boulder Canyon about 1.5 miles east of Deadwood or 9 miles west of I-90 exit 30 at Sturgis.
Gift Store & More
A trip to The Roo Ranch wouldn't be complete without a visit to our gift store. We have all kinds of gifts and souvenirs to chose from including postcards, stuffed kangaroos, apparel and much more.
Plus don't forget to stop by our photo studio and have one of our friendly staff members take your picture while holding a joey.
